Illustrative Mathematics Curriculum

During the 2022-2023 school year, Odyssey's middle school math classes transitioned to Illustrative Mathematics.

"IM 6–8 Math is a problem-based core curriculum rooted in content and practice standards to foster learning and achievement for all. Students learn by doing math, solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts, and constructing arguments using precise language. Math lessons are designed with a focus on independent, group, and whole-class instruction. This format builds mathematical understanding and fluency for all students." How to monitor your child's progress

Each parent has a username and password for PowerSchool. PowerSchool is what teachers use as an online grade-book and where we enter grades and comments. Parents and students can log on at any time to see real-time updates of their child's grades and assignments. If you have any questions about PowerSchool, or need an extra copy of your username and password, please contact Mary Wolfe in the office or email her at: mwolfe@odysseyschool.org
